A common problem with fire compartmentalisation arises when we require the free circulation of air alongside an effective fire protection system.
\nTecsel\u00ae<\/sup> Grilles<\/strong> are palusol sheets wrapped in PVC. Palusol is made from sodium silicate, a small amount of organic material and reinforced with fibreglass. Both faces have an epoxy resin layer that protects the intermediate layer from ambient conditions (water, steam and CO2).
\nWhen exposed to temperatures above 100 \u00baC, Tecsel\u00ae<\/sup> Grille<\/strong> expands and forms a layer of foam consisting of fine, fireproof and compression-resistant pores, acting as a thermal insulator, preventing the transfer of heat, flames and smoke.
\nWhen unexposed to fire, the grille allows for the ventilation systems to fulfil their design purpose and freely circulate the flow of air.<\/p>\n

Tecsel\u00ae <\/sup>Grilles<\/strong> are mechanically attached to the supporting constructive element with the appropriate screws, plugs or fittings (these must have at least the same level of fire resistance as the structure onto which they are fixed).<\/p>\n
If there are any gaps between the grille and the supporting element, these should be filled with Tecsel\u00ae Intumescent mastic.
\nIf the ventilation surface is bigger than the grilles dimensions, it is possible to assemble them at an angle, provided we keep the fire resistance and work consistency in the Tecsel\u00ae \u00a0Grilles separations.<\/p>\n
