\nin the building, or towards a protected staircase or protected corridor, this fa\u00e7ade shall be at least EI-60 in a belt with height of not less than 1 metre.<\/p>\n
Catastrophes affecting high-rises have shown the importance of protecting and anchoring joints between both slabs and facades. Otherwise, existing holes between curtain walls and light facades can work as true chimneys in case of fire causing flames and smoke to get out of control propagating into higher areas in the building, and thus hampering an orderly evacuation procedure.<\/p>\n

Attach the 70 x 70 x 1 mm angle lengthwise along the Tecbor\u00ae 20 mm Board using 3.5 x 45 mm self-tapping screws roughly every 250-300 mm. Attach the flush angle to the edge of the slab with a 10 x 100 mm plug approximately every 250-300 mm.<\/p>\n
Next, fix a Tecbor\u00ae<\/strong> 20 mm cover, 200-250 mm wide, to the lower part of the slab using a 10 x 100 mm plug.<\/p>\n
Tecbor\u00ae<\/strong> 20 mm joint covers (200-250 mm wide) are fixed to the lower joints of the curtain wall using 3.5 x 45 mm self-tapping screws.<\/p>\n
Then apply Tecbor\u00ae Joint Paste<\/strong> to the board joints and screw heads.<\/p>\n

<\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]This is a curtain wall solution without assymetrical crossing slab. The upper side, is a partition without wool.<\/p>\n
It consists in a 13 mm laminated plaster partition fixed on the inner side to a 46 mm metal stud by means of 3.5 x 35 mm dry partition hardware. On the opposite side, it has a 20 mm Tecbor\u00ae<\/strong> board fixed to the 46 metal stud by means of 3.5 x 35 mm dry partition hardware.<\/p>\n

Description of Assembly<\/h2>

Place the 100 kg\/m3 rock-wool between the facade studs. Once filled with rock-wool, attach the Tecbor\u00ae<\/strong> 10 mm Boards to the studs using 3.5 x 25 mm selfdrilling screws.<\/p>\n
Close the junction between the slab and the module with a 10 mm-thick Tecbor\u00ae<\/strong> Board, fixed with 10\u00d7100 mm plugs every 250 mm along the underside of the slab.<\/p>\n
Apply Tecbor\u00ae Joint Paste<\/strong> to the board joints, at the confluence of the sheet metal module and screw heads. The space between the slab and the module is filled with 145 kg\/m3 dense rock-wool<\/p>\n
